I have been a freelance writer since 1989 and written everything from ad copy to feature articles. During that time I have also held the odd full-time job with a newspaper. In 2024, I started a new adventure as an author.
Writing my first novel brought out a side of me I didn’t realize existed. I now know why fiction writer’s have the reputation of being strange creatures who mutter to themselves in grocery stores, or stop suddenly as they’re walking along the street to shout disjointed statements, then turn and march back in the direction they came, only to repeat the process several times until finally they return to their original direction.
Fiction writers live inside their head where the world they create is populated with characters they willingly, or not, bring to life and then desperately try to figure out what to do with them.
